Tax Attorney Veronica I. Long Joins Boutin Jones Tax Practice

Attorney Veronica Long has joined Boutin Jones’ tax practice. Her arrival marks the continued expansion of a tax group renowned for its sophisticated advice on cutting-edge tax planning and controversy issues.

Veronica comes to Boutin Jones with significant experience in California and federal tax law and in resolution of tax controversies while working in the Legal Department of the Franchise Tax Board where she served in the General Tax Bureau and Settlement Bureaus. Her practice spans a wide range of complex tax issues. She successfully represented the Franchise Tax Board in numerous appeals concerning the taxation of real estate transactions and successfully negotiated many tax settlements including like-kind exchanges and partnership allocations.

She is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She is currently the editor-in-chief of California Tax Lawyer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Taxation Section of the California Lawyers Association.
