Marisa C. Gonzalez

Associate

Marisa Gonzalez represents businesses and individuals in a variety of litigation matters, handling high-stakes disputes and guiding clients through every stage of the litigation process. She appreciates that legal disputes often involve more than financial interests: they can affect families, livelihoods, and legacies. That perspective informs her thoughtful and practical approach to client representation.

Marisa has played a key role on multiple trial teams that secured successful verdicts, regularly prevailed at critical hearings, and recently helped obtain a significant arbitration victory against a nationally recognized law firm. The result saved the client several hundred thousand dollars while recovering nearly all of the client’s attorney’s fees.

Outside of her practice, Marisa is deeply committed to the Sacramento community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Cruz Reynoso Bar Association and as Vice President of the Sacramento County Bar Association Barristers Board. She helped establish the Boutin Jones Community Involvement Committee, which organizes charitable initiatives benefiting organizations including Wellspring Women’s Center, CASA, Sacramento Children’s Home, the Sacramento Zoo, and Sacramento River cleanup efforts. Marisa mentors law students from UC Davis School of Law and McGeorge School of Law and is passionate about supporting first-generation law students. In her free time, she enjoys endurance athletics and recently completed her first Ironman.
