Greg Peterson is a shareholder at Boutin Jones Inc. who is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Specialization. His trusts and estates practice is bolstered by decades of experience as a real estate lawyer and trial attorney.
Greg partnered with Boutin Jones after over two decades of running his own successful Sacramento law practice and after having worked at large San Francisco and Los Angeles-based law firms where he tried cases before state and federal courts throughout California, and appeared in matters before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
A graduate of Yale and UC San Francisco, Hastings School of Law, Greg attended night school while working as a full-time lawyer to earn his LL.M. with honors in Estate Planning, Trusts & Probate from Golden Gate University. He’s been active in the community as a member of the Sacramento County Planning Commission, including serving as its Chair, and currently serves as Court-Appointed Counsel for the Sacramento Superior Court in conservatorships and guardianships. He is a husband, father and grandfather.
