Alex’s practice involves estate planning and estate and gift tax planning for a wide range of clients, including business owners, professionals and blended families.  On a day-to-day basis Alex works with families to create estate plans that are tailored to achieve their specific goals and transfer wealth to future generations in a tax-efficient manner.  Alex regularly works with fiduciaries in trust and estate administration matters, including successfully petitioning the court to transfer title to real and personal property. Alex also advises clients regarding California real property transfers and the minimization of property and estate tax.  Alex earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2015 (currently inactive).

Alex enjoys Olympic-style weightlifting, playing chess, and spending time outside biking, hiking, and playing golf and tennis. He’s currently learning the game of pickleball, and he’s planning his next hiking trip to Yosemite.

“Estate planning can serve as a tax-minimization tool, but it can also serve as a protection plan for families as they age. That’s why I find my work so fulfilling.”

The approval of California Proposition 19 is a great example of how the law affecting inter-generational transfers changes over time. Estate and tax planning is a dynamic field, and I enjoy working with families to plan for the unexpected.
