Alexander Crawford

Associate

Alex specializes in estate and gift planning, trust administration and tax planning for complex estates.  Alex prepares and implements all manner of sophisticated estate and gift planning, including the use of family limited partnerships and irrevocable trusts (life insurance trusts, dynasty or generation-skipping trusts, charitable trusts, QPRTs, GRATs and other grantor trusts).  Alex also advises trustees in post-death trust administrations and prepares and files estate tax returns and gift tax returns.  As a graduate of NYU’s LL.M. in Taxation program, Alex’s knowledge of tax law informs his practice of advising clients how to minimize estate taxes, gift taxes, generation-skipping taxes, income taxes and property taxes, particularly for clients who own and operate businesses.

Estate planning can serve as a tax-minimization tool, but it can also serve as a protection plan for families as they age. That’s why I find my work so fulfilling.
