Boutin Jones Inc., a Sacramento business law firm of approximately 50 lawyers – nine of whom are members of our tax practice group – is seeking two transactional tax attorneys. Candidates must have substantial experience in analyzing and advising clients with respect to tax implications of corporate merger and acquisition structures, partnership formation, allocations, operations and liquidations, and real estate taxation. The positions include supporting other practice groups in the firm regarding tax issues in real estate transactions, corporate transactions and litigation. We believe a great tax lawyer needs to work on transactions, not only pure tax issues, so both positions involve structuring and handling transactions.
One position is for a senior associate who will work with the firm’s shareholders. Our associates have direct contact with clients. We encourage them to learn from the shareholders, to constantly expand the depth of their practice and to take on more responsibility.
The other position is for a shareholder with an interest in building a practice in the Sacramento region and supporting other shareholders in addressing the demands of a growing Sacramento practice. The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in community engagement and practice development initiatives.
