Ms. Lucia has also represented clients in federal and state court in wrongful termination in violation of public policy, wage and hour, discrimination and harassment lawsuits. She has mediated several cases to successful resolution and has been involved in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Prior to attending law school, Ms. Lucia worked for eleven years in the financial industry as a securities trader for Jefferies & Company, Chase Hambrecht & Quist, JP Morgan Chase, and RBC Capital Markets.
Ms. Lucia is currently on the Board for the Women Lawyers of Sacramento and the King Hall Alumni Association, is on the Executive Committee for the Milton L. Schwartz David F. Levi American Inn of Court, and is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section and the Sacramento Barrister's Club. In law school Ms. Lucia earned Witkin Awards for the highest grade in Civil Procedure, Employment Discrimination, Criminal Law, Health Law, and Intellectual Property Law. She was a Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the UC Davis Law Review, and received the Patrick J. Hopkins Memorial Writing award for her article on the Federal False Claims Act. Ms. Lucia received the Public Service and Pro Bono Certifications from the University of California, Davis School of Law. She was also the recipient of the Frank and Margaret Johns Award for her demonstrated commitment to the University of California, Davis School of Law.
