David R. Norton / Associate

Detailed Practice Description

David R. Norton  represents employers through all phases of litigation, and is experienced in defending discrimination and harassment claims brought under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and Title VII.

I enjoy employment law because the facts of each case are fascinating and there are high levels of emotion on both sides. The uniqueness of each case along with the passion of the parties involved keeps me energized to work hard on every case.

The Basics

I represent employers in discrimination and harassment lawsuits and class action wage and hour claims. My practice also includes advice and counseling for employers, as well as handling workplace investigations.

Delivering for Clients

One way I have been able to help clients is through my communication skills and oral advocacy. Since many problems are the result of poor communication, being able to talk to people can, ultimately, result in shorter litigation and more successful resolution of disputes.

I golf as much as I can and often outside of the city limits of Sacramento.  I don’t mind traveling to try a new golf course. I enjoy discovering new places to golf rather than just golfing one familiar course.
