Amy L. O’Neill handles all types of civil litigation matters, including business and real estate disputes for individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations.
I was first attracted to practicing law because of the serious issues I had seen in agriculture while I was growing up, particularly the challenges relating to land and water rights. I wanted to be able to help. I love that I now get the chance to work directly with agricultural companies as well as other types of companies.
I practice general litigation and focus primarily on business litigation such as contract disputes, partnership disputes and land disputes.
I worked with a large retail chain to obtain a positive settlement with the government, who had accused the company of improperly disposing of waste. I’ve also been helping a company with an important dispute involving a state contractor’s license.
People are always surprised to learn that I grew up on a dairy farm and paid my way through college by getting up at 3 a.m. to milk cows. It’s probably why I still love being outdoors. I especially love when I have the time to go hiking at places such as Lake Tahoe or Lake Berryessa.
